 About Us

What we offer as part of our service

We operate a 24 hour, 365 days a year personal service. Our duty to you starts as soon as contact is made, either by telephone or by calling personally into our funeral home.

  • Our caring team

At a time which suits, you a member of our team will discuss all the options available in order to fulfil your personal needs and requirements for the funeral arrangements.

  • The order of service

We are able to print personalised order of service sheets, pew cards to record those people who have attended the service, and can fulfil other printing requirements on request.

  • The flower arrangements

We can arrange these for you via local florists who will be pleased to help you choose from a variety of different styles, individual designs, and seasonal flowers to suit your own personal taste.

  • The music

At a funeral service music can help reflect the character of the deceased as a reminder of their personality, taste and interests. We can arrange the music for you.

  • The catering

Upon request, we can arrange for you catering at various venues who are experienced in providing funeral buffets.

  • The decoration

If there is a special requirement or desire which will not compromise the dignity of the deceased or occasion, please ask.

Dear Ian and Wendy
Your kindness and understanding in what was a traumatic time for us, was so helpful. You went far and beyond your role to ensure our day for our son Luke was perfect. Anytime day or night you were there for us. We cannot thank you enough as Luke’s final journey was special and it was all down to yourselves.
Ian Wilde Independent Funeral Directors have given us so much peace, as all your staff were so polite and understanding.
Martin, your funeral operative, whose understanding and help gave us strength.
All of the staff made our final time with our little boy so much easier as we knew you would take care of everything.
We cannot thank you enough.
Charlie and Sue

“Dear Ian and Wendy,

I am writing to say a huge thank you for the wonderful service you provided to our family. We all go through our lives engaging the services of a wide variety of professionals-lawyers, accountants, plumbers, mechanics…it is a long list. I can say without hesitation that in my 54 years I have never had such an exceptional service from any individual or company. From the moment I called you when dad died to the moment the funeral service ended everything you did, and the way you did it, was just outstanding.

I hope you enjoy the enclosed book. Once again many, many thanks.”
